Peschisolido relieved to be safe

Barry Corr headed in his 21st goal of the season from a Ryan Hall corner before Scott Malone, who was on loan at Roots Hall last season, equalised in the 28th minute. Both sides were reduced to ten men when Jacques Maghoma and Lee Sawyer were sent off.

Peschisolido said: "It's the biggest relief I have ever had in my life. The last few months have been hell, but we have stayed with it and done things right and have been rewarded for it.

"We have had a good run in these last five games and have performed well. It just shows what a good bunch of players I have got. They have come up with their best form of the season at a time when their heads could have dropped."

And of Jacques Maghoma's red card for swearing and gesturing to the Southend fans following a foul on the winger which earned Lee Sawyer his first booking, the Brewers boss said: "Jacques' sending off was down to naivety.

"He got abuse and he reacted. He was stupid and he has to learn very quickly not to react."
