Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido says he has always kept faith in his side despite some inconsistent form. The Brewers had lost their previous two home league fixtures, but turned in a stylish display in their 3-1 win over Chesterfield in the FA Cup on Saturday.

"We are capable of great things when we put our minds to it and it works out," Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby.

The victory at the Pirelli Stadium was their second success against the League Two leaders in two weeks.

But in between the 2-1 away win on 13 November and

Saturday's victory against the Spireites,

the Brewers lost successive home games against Bury and Rochdale.

Burton will host Middlesbrough in the third round of the FA Cup on the weekend of 8/9 January.

And the Brewers return to league action on Saturday, when they have an away fixture against Torquay United.
