Pear-shaped for Pesch

Wade Small hit a first-half brace to put the visitors in control and despite Shaun Harrad pulling one back, Peschisolido saw his side slip to defeat.

But the former Sheffield United striker insists Albion are on the right track despite seeing the Shots leapfrog them in the table.

"After the first seven minutes I thought it was going to be our best performance of the season," said Peschisolido. "Some of our interchange play was excellent and I thought it was going to be our night but it all went pear-shaped from there on in. The two goals we conceded were very sloppy. They came out of nothing really because we didn't react to the second ball.

"On top of that some of our quality, our passing and our decision making going forward was awful. But we have to put things into perspective. We've only been in this division for a season-and-a-half and things don't happen overnight.

"We're working extremely hard on the training ground to put things right but we and our supporters have got to be realistic because we're still new to this level and, despite the last two results, we're holding our own."
