By BURTON ALBION MAD
Updated Wednesday, 9th June 2010

The Brewers have offered a contract to former Partick Thistle goalkeeper Jonny Tuffey

tuffeyTuffey has been linked with a lot of clubs since turning down the offer of a new deal at the Scottish Division One side.

The Brewers have now made contact with Tuffey, who has three international caps for Northern Ireland and he admits they have made a good impression

"I was impressed with what I saw at Burton and they are obviously an ambitious club. But there is other interest elsewhere and I am not going to rush into things.

"Obviously my next contract is a hugely important one and I need to make sure the decision is right for myself and my family."
