James staying with Albion - Peschisolido

Bulls boss Jamie Pitman is keen to bring the 32-year-old former club captain back to Edgar Street for a second time after he enjoyed a month-long loan stint in October, while James - who made over 300 appearances for Hereford between 1998 and 2006 - still lives in his hometown.

But Peschisolido insists James is staying at the Pirelli Stadium to see out the remaining six months of his contract, with the fringe defender set for more minutes on the pitch as the Brewers face an upcoming fixture backlog.

"We simply have too much on our plate in terms of fixtures between now and the end of the season for me to contemplate letting Tony go," Peschisolido told the Burton Mail.

"Football changes very quickly in terms of personnel because of injuries and suspensions, and I'm sure Tony is going to have to play a lot of football for us.

"I know he's frustrated at not being in the team, but he's going nowhere until the summer. He was player of the year last season and he's still a valuable member of the squad."
