Burton Albion have snubbed an offer from League Two rivals Hereford for defender Tony James
James, spent eight years with the Bulls but left for Weymouth in 2006 before joining Burton and aiding their rise up the football ladder. Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido is desperate to keep his defensive talisman in Staffordshire and is hoping he will put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
The 31-year-old centre-back is now poised to sign a one-year extension with the Brewers after being linked with a return to his former club.
