Brewers boss has some explaining to do

Peschisolido saw his side finally secure safety with a 1-1 draw at Southend on Saturday but his boss was far from happy with being dragged into the dogfight.

Robinson said: "Relegation would have had a massive impact in terms of the scale of the club.

"I now need to sit down with Paul to discuss what plans he has in hand to make sure we do not find ourselves in the same situation again.

"The season as a whole did not meet expectations and we all need to learn from it. The season began with great expectations and the biggest wage bill in the club's history of more than ?1million, excluding loan players.

"We didn't necessarily expect to be in the play-offs but we certainly thought we would get close to them instead of having a relegation battle to fight."
