Burton Albion defender Ryan Austin has agreed to return to the club next season on a short-term contract.

The 25-year-old has not played since November after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury and there was a delay on accepting the offer from the manager

Austin will continue at the Pirelli Stadium as Burton look for a successful campaign in League Two.

Manager Paul peschisolido has said "We wont rush him back, He needs to work towards his match fitness. If he can get back to the level he was at before his injury,  it will be like having a new signing when he's fully fit"

"If that's the case then we will definitely be looking at a proper contract for him."
